Egyptians-What does family mean to you??

The whole concept of family, and whatever your role...what does this all mean to you? Is it the most vital thing in your life or is it something you can do without?

Family is everything to me it's starts with family and ends with family.  I do everything for my family and always think of them before my self.  When i have my own family i will be so proud and will do everything i can for them i will be there 100% for my children and for my husband my life with revolve around them and seeing them happy will make me happy.  I don't think there is anything more important than family as that is where everyone starts in a family and ends in a family.  

There may be moments when you are irritated by your family but it never lasts it's always forgotten and forgiven.  Each member is vital in the family to keep it strong and together.

When I think about it, I feel that family is the breath that I take. They are the best and the happiness of my life.

people who support and show affection towards you...someone u can call when u need and will not judge u and will be completely honest...doesnt have to be ppl related to u could be friends

you can only know the meaning and importance of family if you live away from them or lose them! Its very hard and its horrible! i've lived away from my family for years, as they live in Egypt and me in USA and its very hard very very hard! There is nothing like family!

I agree with moonrise answer, and I always advice friends to strengthen their relation with their families, but for me this days I'm not doing that to my family,

By family do you mean Close relations(Sister, Brother etc..) or far relations(Cousins, Uncles etc.. )

i used to LOVE my mother's family

but i havent seen them in 4 years

family doesn't mean anything anymore

all of them will be in the grave soon and they will leave you, so why even bother.
