Ehh will you help me?

Question

I noticed a spider crawling on the arm of the couch i was on and i tried to get it off, but it sprayed something at me. i tried doing some research but i have found nothing. its black, hairy and its butt has a yellow tint. please help me figure out what kind of spider this is.

A spider may eject silk(web) in a defensive manner,but is most likly

not toxic.your description resembles a 'garden spider' ,these are harmless to humans.

I would seriously go check that, it could possibly be harmful to your health ,how you described it it could be a black widow spider, depending on if there was an hour glass looking thing on its thorax, it could be red or yellow, i would go check it out, i doubt it this spider though because the hourglass is usually red
