I actually saw this rainbow cloud on my way back to Singapore.

It seems to be moving in a slow rate. The photos that was taken is genuine, meaning , I took it myself.

  1. It is just a rainbow forming and it seems to move because clouds are also moving.......

  2. the second picture looks as if you might have been in the right place to be seeing a pale 'sun dog'... since you were flying and moving, too, it prob didn't appear as bright as it may have from the ground... here's a site....compare the third picture with yours and think what it would look like with your cloud cover.....??

  3. its just the clouds acting like a prism...like the way if the sun catches a raindrop you would get a rainbow.

  4. you know about the earthquake in China recently ? the sichuan earthquake ?

people claimed that they say the same thing too before the earthquake .

it may be the weather changes before the earthquake or there is so much force between the tectonic plates of teh earth that it cause a spinning of the atmosphere so it bends the dusts in the air, forming what you saw in the picture.
