Eighth Grade help?

Question

How is eighth Grade? is it scary? how do i make friends without sounding desperate?Is high school better?Do kids actually grow up when you start high school cuz i hear it all the time people saythat kids grow up when they start high school! Well I am in eighth grade middle school!!!! I just wanna fit in!!! I dont wanna be called g*y again!!! (Long story short,,,, My ex bff made this rumor that i was g*y about something to do with her mom she told me her mom was g*y)

I dont know but please help me 10 points

Live your last moments at this school to the fullest. Once you leave to go to High School you’ll never know the benefits of attending a small school. Right now everyone knows every aspect of everyone else’s lives. Make friends with everyone and do not dwell on a small disagreement. You may regret it.

I wish someone had told me not follow the crowd. It may be difficult to always go with the obvious but if you break away from the pack you’ll get more respect from people than you know. Don’t try to cover up who you are. Personally I tried that through out middle school but I found it is much more rewarding when I just was myself. I found that more people came to see by me as being funny, intelligent, and creative rather then my physical characteristics or the awkward girl that tried to fit in. If you keep the U in unique you’ll find your last years in Jr. High a lot less complicated.

I'm going to either grade year and I am not scared at all.

Its just like 7th grade, expect you learn a few more new things.

Well, let me first start off by saying I'm in the eighth grade, also. I know what you're talking about: drama, pressure, all that stuff. I just don't let any of that effect me at all. I have good friends, good grades, and I just don't care what all the 'Preps' and 'Jocks' think about me. I mean sure It kinda hurts if someone makes fun of you, and you do think they're jerks, but i just don't care. And don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those losers that everyone thinks is stupid: i shop at stores like hollister, A&F, Aero, I have plenty of friends, good grades, but that doesn't mean i'm a jerk who lets people contorol my emotions.

Basically, just be yourself and don't let them get to you :)

I just got done with 8th grade last year, it mostly all hype about it being scarry. if u think its going to be you will be scrared. older kids are kinda mean, but its no big deal. also there arnt really any clicks in high school. more people are nicer and like you for you. im sure you will have a great time as long as you choose the right group of friends and do your homework, yes there is so much more homework. lol.
