I'm going into eighth grade, and I want to get as many AP/honors classes as I can. Do you start having AP classes in eighth grade or ninth grade?

  1. In Eighth Grade.

But at my school, we could only get AP english.

But don't worry, AP classes aren't hard:)

Good Luck, have a fun year, i know i did!

  2. No they have AP classes in 8th grade but it really depends on the school. For example i took AP French in middle school. I don't think in middle school they would have like AP history or science . None of the major subjects.

  3. eighth grade

  4. this question shows you shouldnt be in ap

  5. you can start in 8th grade. jus make sure you keep your grades up so then u can get into them in high school

  6. It all depends on your school. Most are eight but some are ninth.

  7. Our school starts in 9th grade. I'm going into 9th grade, but took the highest level classes in junior high as I could, and now I'm doing AP in highschool. But your school might do things differently.

  8. where i am all ap classes begin in the 9th grade

  9. There may be a few you can take in 8th grade, but most AP classes start in 9th or 10th grade.  At my school, freshman are only given the choice to take AP Human Geography and that's it.

    Good Luck!

  10. 9th in my district

  11. 10th where I live, but Advanced classes, not AP, start in the 6th grade, for math, and 7th grade for english.  The earliest AP class there is where I live is 10th grade for AP U.S. History.

  12. It depends on the school.  Talk to your counselor at your school and they can help you.

  13. i really don't know any people at my school that have taken AP classes in 9th grade. some sophmores do world history, but pretty much all the other AP's are restricted to 11th and 12th graders.

  14. Depends on where you live and the way the district is set up. In Florida you can begin in 7 & 8 grade.

  15. EIGHT

  16. usually AP is only in highschool

AP classes are basically college courses in a high school environment.

you have to take a rigorous AP test and pass to get college credit.

at my high school, we don't have AP until junior and senior year.

so i would recommend that you take as many honors as you can for the first two years of high school and then try in the AP classes.

now. you could be really really smart. which idk, but if you were, you could possibly advacne into AP earlier.

but i've never heard of an eighth grader taking AP classes

  17. depends they ended the high school classes for eight graders wheni started my eighth grade yeeer. so yes

  18. True AP classes do not start until high school, these classes are designed to be at a college level.  If you take and pass the AP test at the end of the year you even earn college credit.  So I believe you are talking about GATE or Honors classes.  Most schools have some version of this for most core classes.  If you have not already discussed this with a counselor you need to do it now.  These classes fill up and when there is no more room, you might not get the class you want.

  19. eighth grade,

    im in ap classes.

    and im going into 8th.

  20. i started in 7th

  21. 9th

    Good luck!

  22. its 9th where i am

basically there's just advanced in 8th

except math where u can get in geometry and all that

  23. 9th, but in 7th and 8th grade there are advanced or honors classes which are just like the normal classes in the next grade.

  24. i think you start ap classes in high school

    (:

  25. eight grade....

  26. my school starts at 9th grade....they're not all fun and game trust...especially if your in a sport...so think about how many u really want to take
