Eijaaz hot favourite to win August 17th Is Ladies´ Evening Handicap (Div II)
Eijaaz seems to be in a great position to win the August 17th Is Ladies´ Evening Handicap (Div II) at Catterick in England on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. A cash prize of £2,045 will be given to the class-6 winner.
The going will be good to soft in the 1 mile, 3 furlong and 214 yard race, which has attracted 10 entries. However, most of the runners are struggling for form and lack the experience to excel at this level.
This has given a great chance to Eijaaz, as he is carrying a decent momentum right now. He has been given a general starting price of 11 to 4 and no one seems to be in a position to fight him at the front. He will definitely encourage the punters to place
bets on him, as they can win some easy money over him.
The 11-year-old gelding has got plenty of experience, as he has participated in 88 events until now. He has not managed to win with consistency, as he has triumphed on a dozen occasions whereas took the runner up spot on 13 times. Moreover, he finished third
in nine outings, which shows that he has the potential to challenge his rivals for top positions.
However, the Geoffrey Harker’s trainee has not managed to win any event in the ongoing season. He has appeared in five races in 2012 and the best he could manage was the runner up spot on three occasions. This shows that he does not lack the confidence and
has a solid chance of breaking the duck this year.
The previous two seasons brought a lot of success for Eijaaz, as he managed to win seven races during this time period. His fans will be expecting him to continue the same sort of form in the future as well.
Green Desert’s son out of Kismah debuted in 2004 and he was not much consistent at the start of his career. However, he has improved a lot with the passage of time. He finished fourth in his most recent race, which was not a bad result, but a better result
is expected from him at Catterick today.
Eijaaz will be ridden by veteran jockey, Silvestre De Sousa, who is one of the best in the business at present.
