Eject some kind of drive from my pc!?!!?

Hi. I have a card reader thing and i was uploading pictures from my memory card and i just pulled it out because i didnt know how to eject it. but can you tell me how?? (step by step) because i dont want to ruin the memory card. i'm really bad with the computer so simple words please!!!

Your memory card won't get ruined from taking it out, just don't do it while transfering files.

next time you have it in your computer just right click on the drive in my computer and click eject and you can safely take out the memory card. or you can do a longer process which might be confusing which is on the bottom an icon near the time and if u double click on it you can decide which drive you would safely eject to remove you memeory card w/o worrying about destroying the data

Assuming you're using Windows XP or VISTA, look for a small icon on the lower right.  When you put your mouse over it, it will say "Safely Remove Hardware."  Click on it and click on the drive that your memory card was assigned to and then you can remove it.l
