El Clasico: Full Time Report – Barcelona vs. Real Madrid
After the first half ended, the teams took their positions on the field and it was Real Madrid who were feeling insecure in the jam-packed Nou Camp where 99000 fans were sitting to help their side win the game.
It was the home side that took an early lead right before the tenth minute mark, as Xavi Hernandez helped his team score the first goal of the game by chipping the ball past Iker Casillas. Later, it was Pedro Rodriguez, who managed
to tap the ball in after David Villa managed to cross it towards him right after he got past Sergio Ramos.
With a two-goal advantage, the home side were ready to face the Los Blancos in the second half that was expected to be more than what actually came out of it. Jose Mourinho decided to change a few things round for his side as he
replaced the totally quite Mesut Ozil for Lassana Diarra – the midfielder who managed to book himself a red last time the El Clasico took place as he went forward and gave Xavi Hernandez a reckless challenge.
With Diarra coming on, the Los Blancos were playing the same 4-2-3-1 formation only with Ozil being replaced by the Real Madrid number 10. Now, the Los Blancos were trying to keep the possession of the ball, but they were seen
only chasing shadows as the Catalan Giants were moving the ball around with superb passing.
Soon after the match started, during the 54th minute, it was the Argentinean maestro Lionel Messi, who found David Villa at the right position and gave him a perfect through ball. The Spanish goal-scoring machine made
no mistake as he managed to plant the ball into the net as he shot it past one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Iker Casillas. It was no embarrassment for the Los Blancos as they were 3 goals down against their arch nemesis Barcelona.
Right after three minutes, it was Lionel Messi again who pulled the string and found David Villa making a run from the left flank. The Spaniard managed to out run Sergio Ramos and Ricardo Carvalho, as he shot the ball past Iker
Casillas once again to put his side 4 goals in front of Madrid. Now, Madrid were simply holding their heads in horror as the Catalan giants were on their way to destroying Madrid.
After taking the four-goal lead, the Catalan giants started to irritate their opponents with their flawless one-touch passing and after sticking to the “tiki taka” style of play, Guardiola’s men were ready to win it even though
there was a lot of time for the Los Blancos to suffer.
The Spanish Champions were fouled time and again, as Real Madrid looked to be troubled with the possession of the ball while the home side were in no mood to give the ball away. The Blaugrana wearing side were having almost 75%
possession of the ball and the Los Blancos were simply chasing shadows throughout the game.
The game was almost over, but Guardiola’s men were simply not through, especially with so many unusual tackles flying at them by the “out of their right minds,” Real Madrid. It was Sergio Ramos, who earned himself a red card when
the game was about to end, but Barcelona were the ones who were simply not through yet. After a wonderful ball from Andres Iniesta towards Bojan Krkic, the young Spaniard ran past Alvaro Arbeloa and crossed the ball in towards Andres Iniesta, who tried to
score, but it was the newly substituted Jeffren Suarez who managed to sneak the ball past Iker Casillas for the fifth time during the game. Finally, the match ended with the Catalan giants raising their hands in victory with a five-goal advantage.
