El Monje Machete, 14' blade 5' handle. Anyone know any history?

We;ve recently recieved an 'El Monje' machete from a yard sale. It depicts a monk reading a Bible at the very end of the blade. We've searched but have found no information regarding this particular type of machete. The blade is 14' long and tarnished, but renewable. Any information regarding the history and value of the blade would be appreciated, thank you.

I don't have much to report.  I did find another machete for sale that sounds just like yours.  Take a look at the pictures shown on eBay.  The sellers are looking for $49.99.
