Question:

El Salvador indigenous signs: What looks like 2 stick and a sun?

My father traveled to El Salvador and brought back 2 bracletes, for my brother an I.

Mine has what looks like 2 stick figures and the sun.

I was thinking that they could be praying to the sun or it could be 2 arrows going to an animal (what could be the sun).

My brothers bracelet has a face with a squiggly line on the forehead.

What do you think this could mean? Why do you think this?

  1. Unfortunately, without a pic, it can be extremely difficult to decode the designs that you mention.

There are many indigenous hieroglyphs in El Salvador, many Mayan in nature.  If they glyphs were copied from Mayan designs, you may be able to find them here http://www.mayadiscovery.com/ing/history...  (click on Maya Codices) It is the biggest collection in the world of Mayan history and designs.

Keep in mind that it could also be any of the numerous other new world indigenous designs, someones own design, or even something that was made in China.

    Best of luck.
