"independent of or unaffected by time"
-Merriam-Webster.com
So I know the dictionary definition (and I'm not confused about it), but I'm having difficulty with the usage. Firstly, how can something actually be "atemporal"? Could someone provide me with a simple and obvious example? Secondly, I understand the below statement, but again, not the usage of "atemporally".
"Propositions about the future are either atemporally true or
atemporally false and so not under our control."
It's just not jumping out at me. I might just be having one of my many, ah...moments, if you know what I mean.
