Elas Diamond to conquer her comeback in the Newsells Park Stud Stakes (Registered As The Aphrodite Stakes) (Listed Race)
The Class 1 Newsells Park Stud Stakes (Registered As The Aphrodite Stakes) (Listed Race) has brought back the four-year-old gray/bay filly, Elas Diamond, who has comeback from a layoff of nearly two years. Contesting for the £22,684 prize money alongside her are ten other three-year-old and above runners who will race through the mile and four furlongs on Saturday, 21st July at Newmarket.
Danehill Dancer’s daughter last raced in the 2010 and that too only three times. However, the ranking of those three outings were decent, two second scores and a win.
Jeremy Noseda trained four-year-old filly stood second in the E B F Pie Emporium Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 17th September, 2010 at Newmarket over a mile. The race was won by the favourite entry, Khawlah.
With jockey, Ryan Moore onboard, she chased the leaders, and with the last furlong to go they had to take upon the challenge from the winner. Filling in the third position behind the winner was, Matilda’s Waltz.
The Newsells Park Stud owned and bred won the European Breeders’ Fund Maiden Stakes (Division II) on 14th October, 2010 at Nottingham over a mile and half a furlong.
The favourite winner broke from the first gate and was prominent right after hitting the track. She drew clear when there remained the final two furlongs to race over and upon Ryan Moore’s urge, grew more firm on the lead and won by an amazing twelve lengths.
Qualifying as the runner-up was, Mulaqen while taking the third position behind the winner was, Madison Square.
The bay filly out of mare, Ela Athena, then took her third career chance in the Bet365.Com E B F Montrose Fillies’ Stakes (Listed Race) on 30th October, 2010 at Newmarket over a mile. The good to soft ground conditions took Blue Bunting’s side who won the race by the margin of a length.
Elas Diamond settled as the favourite runner-up of the race and was soon joined by, Whisper Louise.
Her seasonal debut and the fourth outing of the season will be accompanied by jockey, Jamie Spencer and the duo will take on the competition from the second stall.
