Elbow/arm hurts. What can I do?

In May, I was raking the yard, afterward, a sharp pain developed in my elbow. The tip of the elbow bone was sore to the touch for weeks. Now my right arm hurts and has little strength.

Dc. said I overextended it and there are probably calcium deposits. With various movements it "cracks" quite loudly. This is going on 4 months now. Dc. wanted to x ray it, but said he wouldn't do anything except prescribe pain killers. I tried heat "hot tub", cold, gallons of Ben g*y at night. I just can't get this arm well. What else can I try, do ect. I am a 51 year old male. Help!

2 weeks ago, while thrusting my daughter forward on a boogie board in the Atlantic, I felt a sort of "pop" in the elbow after I thrusted her forward, and I have pain and cracking and weakness ever since.

  1. ~ Hi ~ ! My father suffered from calcium deposits in both in his elbow and shoulder for years. I know he did receive PT for it which helped. He developed the calcium deposits in his elbow from years of playing tennis.

He found mainly some strengthening training and anti-inflammatory medications helped. Here is some additional information I found on the condition, I hope it helps:
