Elbow injury rules Shaun Tait out of 2011 Friends Life t20 competition

League.
The Surrey cricket manager, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Christopher-Patrick-Adams-c50949 confirmed on Friday that the fast bowler himself contacted them and informed about his current situation.
"On behalf of Surrey I would like to thank Shaun Tait for the integrity he has shown in personally contacting us about his current situation," Chris Adams, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Surrey-c851 cricket manager, said.
"A player having concerns about his ability to physically withstand a competition is never a good starting point, particularly with an overseas player,” he added.
Adams, said that they are looking for a replacement recruit and hoped they will find one before the tournament starts next month.
"We will now take the chance to assess our other options for filling this role and we are confident we will have a replacement on board before we start the competition."
Shaun Tait, the 28-year-old http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Australia-c844 pacer has retired from One Day International and Test format of the game due to a spate of injuries and now only plays Twenty20 cricket. He was also part of Australia's World Cup squad,
that faced a quarter-final oust for the first time in the past 12 years. However, he announced his retirement from one-day cricket soon after the mega event.
The 28-year-old South Australia pacer is playing for Shilpa Shetty’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals in the latest edition of the lucrative T20 league but he missed a major part of the tournament due to fitness issues.
Tait was signed by the Surrey county as their overseas player for the 2011 Friends Life t20 tournament earlier in January this year. He was due to join http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yasir-Arafat-c98241 as the second overseas player in the tournament
starting in June. However, the elbow injury has ruled him out of the tournament and the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 are once again looking for their second import to replace the Australian.
