Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Collector’s edition will include a dragon statue
BioWare are currently set to tinker with the final details for the upcoming game, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
As the name suggests, Skyrim is going to be the fifth installment in the Elder Scrolls series and will look to take the game to a whole new level. In order to achieve that feat, BioWare have gone on to confirm that an official collector’s edition version
of the game will be made available. The Collector’s edition will feature a number of bonuses, including a one-foot-tall dragon statue.
The collector’s edition will be made available for a price of $150. It is going to include a one foot tall statue of Alduin, who happens to be a dragon in the game known as the World Eater. The collector’s edition will also come with an exclusive artbook,
which has around two hundred pages of graphics.
However, that isn’t where the magic ends. The BioWare team is looking to do something completely different, as they are going to include a very exclusive behind-the-scene documentary in the package. The documentary features some interviews from the developers
of the game and a look at how the game was made from the ground up. The idea in itself is brilliant; throwing the fans right in the middle of all the action behind the scenes makes it a very interactive experience, and one the fans won’t mind paying a chunk
of their money for.
The collector’s edition won’t just be restricted to North America, as it would be made available in the United Kingdom and Australia. However, having said that, it is going be produced in a very limited quantity and is going to be distributed on a first
come first serve basis.
Skryim is looking to take the Elder Scrolls series in a completely new direction. The game is now going to be based in the Nordic regions and will have you playing via a first person prospective. This time around, the game is going to feature a number of
new enemies to go up against, including dragons.
Despite the collector’s edition featuring so many exclusive features, it is still not clear if it is going to be as popular with the fans as BioWare are hoping it to be. Despite all added items, a price tag of $150 might just be looked upon as being a little
too high for most.
Nonetheless, that could be the reason behind why it is going to be produced in such a limited number.
That being said, it is also being rumoured that some exclusive downloadable content would be included in the package, which can only be confirmed once the game hits shelves, later this year.
