Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim pre-order incentives, Uncharted Collection details
Bethesda have been busy with announcements, as they revealed a pre-order incentive for gamers to book their copies of their, eagerly anticipated, upcoming title, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Bethesda had already announced the release date for their Old World Blues downloadable content pack, that gamers will be able to get their hands on in under a month’s time, for Fallout: New Vegas; now they are following it up by telling gamers exactly what
they can expect when they pre-order their latest title.
Shipping with all pre-ordered copies of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is a world map. The map will represent the different areas of the fantasy universe of the game, not a real world map as some readers may have thought.
According to the Todd Howard, "There's something about having a physical object in your hands that feels like its part of this other world, that you are that person in the game, finding your way among the hills."
Apparently the executive thinks the game will bring out the explorer in all of us, though there is some serious doubt as to how many people would actually use the physical map, instead of the in-game one.
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is scheduled for a release later this year, with the 11th of November, having been confirmed as the release date. If the game is anything like its predecessor, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, it certainly will be one to look forward
to.
Sony has finally responded to rumours of an Uncharted Collection, which was apparently in the works. The rumours spread after the US retail giant, Best Buy, listed the collection on their official website, before it was taken off later on.
Sony had neither confirmed nor denied the bundle, which apparently would include the first two games of the series: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and, the critically acclaimed sequel, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
The pricing had also been on display for all to see and was around the $40 mark, or $39.99 to be exact.
However, Sony has now confirmed that the Uncharted Collection is not a myth, but a reality. It will, as rumoured, contain the original two games, as well as an avatar for the third game in the series, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The goodies do not stop
there as it will also come packaged with a neat Uncharted dynamic theme, which players can ogle at, on their PlayStation 3s.
The move comes just a few months before the release of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and it seems Sony wants to cash in on the ever growing hype surrounding the game.
