Question:

Electives and High School Credits

Hello,

If a high school student takes honors orchestra all four years of high school, and plays piano and violin all four years, too, how would they count credits? Would it be four credits for piano and violin combined, and then 5 additional credits for honors orchestra (since it is an honors class)? I am home educated, and I have around 30-35 credits so far, (academics only, not counting electives), not to mention credits for college courses I have taken, but I do not know how to count credits for my musical electives. I also have numerous other electives, and I know my mother knows how to count them, but I am confused about the musical electives. I am going to ask my mom tomorrow, but...I guess I'm just impatient. ;)

I'm a sophomore (a rising junior), if that helps.

Thank you in advance. :)

  1. Hmmm...I would suggest speaking to your mother. ;)

However, I would probably count it as nine credits, as you suggested above. It seems to make logical sense.

Sorry I could not be of more help...:()

    God bless! :)

    (And yes, He rules! :)
