Electrelane out for more glory after claiming the German 1000 Guineas at Dusseldorf
Electrelane, daughter of Dubawi, out of mare Imperialistic, landed the German 1000 Guineas in a terrific manner, and is now seeking to land a group 1 victory to make her record even more incredible.
Trained by Ralph Beckett, the chestnut filly recently claimed a brilliant victory in the Group 2 German 1000 Guineas at Dusseldorf on 3rd June, 2012, where she raced as a favourite and justified it well as she notched the victory.
In the capable hands of jockey, Jim Crowley, the duo made a swift break, and ended up a narrow short-head before Cherry Danon, who was mounted by rider, A. Starke, while the third place was acquired by, Waldtraut.
The three-year-old started her career on 27th September, 2011, and established herself as a force to be reckoned with.

With rider Jim Crowley, she bolted through the seven furlong track in the Evening Post Maiden Stakes at Chepstow, and defeated race favourite, Forest Edge, by 3 ¾ lengths as she set the track ablaze and stole the show.
Electrelane’s season started on 21st April, 2012, with her participation in the Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Stakes (Registered As The Fred Darling Stakes) where she claimed a placed position by finishing third.
Valiant in defeat, the young runner’s next start demonstrated her true potential, when she finished as a runner-up to the Mick Channon trained, Laugh Out Loud, by 1 length in the EquinITy Powered By Garmin Fillies' Stakes Registered As Michael Seely
Memorial Stakes at York on 18th May, 2012.
Owned by the Clipper Logistics, the runner has a pretty impressive career, since with two victories, finished once as a runner-up and once in third place, in her five starts.
The trainer discussed his filly’s future and commented:
"She's back and she's fine. We haven't got any firm plans, but given that she's such a good traveller it's likely she'll be on her way abroad again at some point."
He further added:
"I suppose we'll have to try to get a Group One with her, but whether we will I don't know. We'll certainly have a bit of fun trying."
