Electric GSE?

Question

What companies specialize in electric Ground Support Equipment? I know of Lektro,making tugs, but what about Baggage tugs, loaders, and other such equipment?

Seems like there would be too much down time as the equipment charges. Baggage equipment at major airports is always on the move... Having it plugged in 60% or more of the time could be a problem

A potentially great idea, in my opinion, could be to use a Series Hybrid system, like many modern locomotives do. The equipment would have a gas engine, but it would only be used to charge the electrical system. The advantage here is that electric motors are capable of producing 100% torque at ANY rpm. Just a thought.

there are many companies that specialize in electric GSE. I work for AA and are electric tugs and belt loader are manufactured by Charlatte. Just go to google and do a search for electric tugs.
