Electric Guitar Tuning?

I've just started playing the guitar, and I was reading a tab, and one said Tuning: Drop B

And I was wondering, how do you do that, im new and have no idea how to tune a guitar, so please help.

Drop B is pretty advanced... so I would just stick with the regular chords first before you attempt those.

If you're new at guitar I wouldn't play anything in Drop B. Not because it's any harder but because you really shouldn't be having to worry about detuning and retuning your guitar just for one song...especially if you are just starting out. there are thousands of other songs that are in standard tuning that would be better.

These posers' tunings suck...stick to the standart or perhaps Eb-tuning.

That means you tune the low E string to a B, the A string to a G flat, the D string to a B, the G string to a E, the B string to a A flat, and the low E string to a D flat.
