  1. It's hard to say.  They wanted to test them out in Britain first before brining them over here.  Hopefully soon!

But there are other electric vehicle options (including cars) becoming available.  See the link below for details.

  2. I KNOW!!

They said it would be released in 2008..but..here we are..WHERE ARE THEY?!

I suppose we just have to be patient..

    :'(

  3. I`ve seen them on the road here already. I`m in the SF Bay area. They look like toy two seaters. They also look  out of place on the freeway.

  4. There are no electric Smart cars in production.  The idea has been proposed now and again over the past several years, but without notable success.  It looks like the electric Smart, like all other electric cars, falls firmly into the category of vaporware.  Here are some sketchy details:

If you see a Smart car going down the road, you're looking at a gasoline-powered car.  They've been sold in Europe for years now; the original company having gone bankrupt.  Since lots of tiny cars are available in Europe, the Smart isn't considered anything too special.

Go have a look at the cars made by Piaggio.

  5. THEY ARE!  I saw a model on display at out neighborhood Whole Foods in Tulsa.  There is a dealership downtown selling them for around $15,000.00, of which you receive a 50% tax credit.  Pretty slick deal, I sat in it and it was roomy enough and fairly comfortable.
