My friend and I are looking to purchase electric toothbrushes and are rather floored by the many different ones they have

Do you have one? Which one do you reccommend? Have you heard about bad ones?

(yes I know I can stick to the regular ones but I've heard REALLY good things about them and thought to give them a try)

  1. As a dental hygienist, I can tell you, any electric toothbrush is better than a manual toothbrush. This is because you get more brush strokes in per minute, thus getting a better brushing session in the 2 minutes you should be brushing.

There are tb's that are better than others:

Sonicare is top of the line. It has a sanitizer that you can sanitize your brush heads (since you shouldn't have your tb w/in 10 feet of your toilet due to ecoli) and has different settings, as well as a 2 minute timer. It also has the sonic technolgy only patented by sonicare that helps move the fluid/toothpaste, etc. between the teeth.

Oral B (Braun) is next in line. They have a great tb as well, just not the sonic technology or the sanitizer. But still a great tb.

And I would say anything else comes after that. i.e. Crest Spin Brush, etc.

You really can't go wrong wtih any of them, as any electric toothbrush will be a huge step up from a manual tb.

    :)

  2. I don't really like them that much, but Colgate has some pretty good ones.

  3. I have had the oral b triumph for a few months now. I love it.

Its cleans ur teeth amazing, has a timer that smiles when u've finished two minutes, its got 3 different speeds and flashes red if ur pressing too hard!!!

i recently went on a trip and took a traditional brush and felt like my teeth were not as clean as usual!!!!!
