Question:

Electric assited tricycle?

taking a look at these electric motors:

Gearmotors section in this page:

they all come with a throttle mechanism. But is it just a matter of plonking them down on your chassis, hooking up the battery and slipping the chain on et voila! or is there more to installing these things?

I'd have a mechanic do it, but I'd like to make sure he won't be faced with a overly tricky task

  1. I am an electric assist kit installer.  Retired EE. Have never heard of this brand.  It is not going to be easy; throttle, controller, wiring, clutches, fuses and switches, battery and charger.

    I do crystalyte, Golden, wilderness, Bionx USPD, EZEE, Largo, cyclone etc.

    Hub motor installs are much easier than this one.  Bionx is the easiest but expensive.   wilderness can be easy and inexpensive.
