  1. So many other question to ask...

What was your actual kW consumed.

Was your last bill an estimate reading & this bill an actual? As last months bill may have been etimated low and this bill is compensating for it.

How does that compare with last years usage?

You may not have done anything different, did you leave a light on for longer?  Watch more TV?  Use a pressure washer? Power Tools? That can add a couple of extra kW

Usually bills are cheaper in the summer than the winter..

I wouldn't go to these uswitch places or that.  Pick a couple of other suppliers and phone around asking for quotes.

But i would check your usage and bills first.

  2. The prices were raised by a large percentage, you could try uswitch but I've found that they all work out the same in the end.

  3. Wait until your gas bill from EDF comes through the post!!! I nearly choked on my toast!!!!

    Good luck!!!

  4. All the company's have had increases in the last 3 months, I'm paying well over £200 a quarter for my electricity at the moment.

  5. I went onto the website

www.moneysavingexpert.com where there are som links about the cheapest electricity or gas in your area. I changed supplier last week with uswitch and am being sent a voucher for 12 bottles of wine with virgin wine and have saved myself about £30 per month.

    Hope this helps
