Now this is getting stressful I need to know a lot to make my first guitar investment a happy one

1a) What is a good amp that complements the les paul a lot of people say Marshall is the way to go with amps but and if so what model ? I like old school rock, like stuff from 1960 -1980 just so you can get my style and a lot of pop rock song like Sweet o child of mine etc..

What makes guitars sound as close to the original as possible great example below.

  1. 'What is a good amp that complements the les paul?'

Any all tube amp will do the job. For start get a 10-20W amp.

'What makes guitars sound as close to the original as possible?'

Effects(like reverb, chorus, flanger, compressor, distortion...), type of amp and guitar...and YOUR PLAYING.

'how do u change it from clear to distoriated in like 1 second?'

'Next this is what i asked my mom for is there any thing else?'

For start you could get a classic distortion pedal like Boos DS-1(see the video above), or an effects processor(Line 6 POD

) if you want to get lots of different tones out of your guitar.

    Hope i helped.
