  1. well....

-you can self-teach yourself to play guitar, if you can't find anywhere to take lessons. Look online for some websites that may teach you the basics of a guitar, such as notes, chords, tabs, etc.

-prices of guitars vary....depending on the brand, etc. If you go onto Ebay, you could probably get a good brand of guitar for a good price, rather than buying one for full price at a music store.

-if you don't have experience with music, then it may be difficult to get used to, for example if you've never read music before (you'll have to learn all the notes and how to read music..) It's easier to read guitar tabs (numbers instead of crazy notes all over the place...) if you can't read music. (remember, some of the greatest guitar players can't even read music...!)

    good luck!

  2. 3. yes its pretty hard to learn, you will be discouraged at first but stick with it and itll get easier

    1. you need lessons.  look for a music store in the phone book, go there, and ask them where or who you can get lessons from

    2.  I would ask your guitar teacher what they think, but I recomend that you invest a bit and get a fender stratocaster.  Its the best guitar you can get for the money, at about 300 dollars.  Its high quality, sounds good, and stays in tune, and thats all you need.  there are a good number of pros that play the fender standard guitars.

  3. well lessons r god but u can teach ur self if ur realy determinded and u might want to consiter an acoustic cuz of money but a good starter is the fender squire(even tho fender pissed on there name when they made it) i also know that epiphone puts out a few starter kits which r good. and yes it is pretty hard but not as hard as it seems but u just have to practice and stay motavated and that is the key to sticking with it and becoming good

  4. 1.  You can get lessons if you want....it's a choice...or you can leanr on your own like alot of us did. I learning playing guitar at 15 by learning Judas Priest songs from their orange

"Early Years"  Song Book...then my guitar got stolen...that is the only reason I stopped playing back in the 80s...then I started drums at 16 in 1986...you can also buy those litte $5 Guitar books that will teach you basic chords like:

E, A, B, F, G, D and etc. Those little $5 books really do come in handy when learning the basics.  You can also check out free guitar book at your local library too. That's another cheap & easy way to learn guitar on a budget. You just have to be sharp and just use all the resoruces available to you.

    2.  It varies in price really...you can get cheap one or a decent one.  For a good one...expect to pay around $300 or more. With guitars...you really have to shop around before you buy one. You have to go play a few and see what you like and what feels right to you in your arms honestly.

    3. Well.....that really depends on you and how often you practice playing your guitar really.  You get out of guitar what you put into it...quite simply. If you want to be a killer guitarist like Slash, Dave Mustaine, Jimmy Page or even Eddie Van Halen....IT IS going to take you years of constant practice on it.  I'm not kidding. I'm telling you straight up...there are no shortcuts in learning guitar.  Playing guitar is not easy...but it will be rewarding IF YOU really work and commit yourself to it.

    4. Hope this helps and good luck

  5. ahaha

  6. 1) You shouldn't get guitar lessons, because you don't want to learn only the bullshit that a guy teaches you, and also, if you learn on your own, you can do it on your own pace.

    2) It depends on the style you intend to play. For rock music, you  should get a Fender Stratocaster, for jazz..an Epiphone semi-hollow, etc.

    3) At first, it may seem a little bit harder, but if you like it, you will get experienced faster. If you don't really want to play, it's better not to start anyway.
