Electric problem in 2002 Ford Sportrac

Question

The drivers side power window in my 2002 sportrac won't go down. It started yesterday. All the other windows go donw fine. When I hit the drivers i hear a noise for a second then nothing. I traced the noise to the relay under the steering wheel but when I swap the relays out the sound still there and the window still won't go down. Help

the relay is a one touch down relay... my guess is the motor is locked up (frozen) and is not allowing it to go down.... check for the bad motor by removing the drivers door and checking for power at the motor connector when hitting the switch on the door side of the wiring...
