Electric problem?

i have a 98 pontiac grand prix gt and wen i changed the battery the car started making a clicking noise in the relays all the gauges started moving by them self and it wont start. help plz need it 4 work

  1. Like watt says - polarity. cables hooked up backwards.  one of them will be connected straight to the engine block - this should be connected to the - minus sign side of the battery.

        The plus side will go to the starter.

I think that you might have blown the ignition fuse,on that car i think the fuse box with that fuse in it is under the hood.but i dont remember which side it's on.It's normal to hear the relays click when you hook up a battery.Make sure that you have the cable's tight and that the battery is charged up.I tell you want go ahead and hook up a pair of jumper cable's to it and see if it dosen't start.
