Electric snowthrower motor turns, blades don't

Question

three weeks old and worked fine until today.. fourth snowfall to clean up and all of a sudden,while workin hard, the blade stopped spinning and the motor didn't. Before I take it apart I wonder is there a shear pin or belt that drives the blades?
