Question:

Electric vehicle - solenoid engine vs. electric motor?

I've seen on some websites people playing around with solenoid engines. Is it possible for a solenoid engine to have more power than an electric motor but at a lower voltage. The power might come from the crank shaft offering more machanical advantage,( long crank vs. short crank). The battery banks in electric cars seem to provide high voltages with short driving range. If a solenoid engine can operate at lower voltage then your battery bank can be set up for more range.

  1. Yes - Exactly!  The solenoids that operate at lower voltages do allow your car to travel longer ranges.
