I live in a polebarn type house that i recently finished building. The stereo i have inside plays fine when the light are off, but when they are flipped on goes to straight static. The same with my tv; lights off= 5 stations, lights on=2. Also, when i pull my truck up the the garage it gets static, and then when i pull in it goes off completely haha what the h**l is going onnnn???

Thanks

  1. It has nothing to do with the number of things turned on. It sounds like a grounding problem to me. Make sure your stereo (in fact your entire house) is properly grounded and that you have a good antenna that will filter out any interference. This is not usual nor should it be happening. Is it just the one fixture? Are you sure your light fixture is installed correctly? Especially if flourescent - ballasts not reversed?
