97 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3L

No electrical power whatsoever; no lights, no horn, no radio, no power windows, no anything. The vehicle has a new battery, new starter, and new solenoid. All tests showed the battery and all wires connected to it as good. The solenoid is slightly damaged and a bit of the inner chamber is exposed but I don't think that should effect all the vehicles electrical. The problem occured while switching the starter solenoids though and the new one was slightly damaged while being attached. Still, I don't think the solenoid should be effecting all the vehicle electrical. Any thoughts?

  1. there might be a fuseble link that's open,,,try pulling on the wire near the solenoid, and or check the main fuse,,

i assumed you put the wire back where it should be on the solenoid there should be only one cable on one of the terminal of the solenoid

double check your ground wire ,,size 10 wire on batery terminal

  2. Most of the wires for the fuse box that powers the vehicle powers from wires that connect at the starter solenoid on the firewall.. are you sure you put them on the battery side of the solenoid?

Also I'd change the solenoid as water will get in over time and cause issues down the road....
