Question:

Electrical adapter/converter for Italy?

For my upcoming trip to Italy, I purchased a set of electrical adapters that included an adapter that was labeled for "Europe." However, someone told me their Euro adapter didn’t work in Italy because Italy uses something different? However, I can't find an Italy-specific adapter in any store. Does anyone know whether Italy really does require it's own adapter, or whether a set that seems to cover most everywhere else will have what I need? Thanks.

  1. any euro adapter would work perfectly in Italy, don't you worry at all. The difference in italy is that the plugs have 3 holes instead of 2  like other european, think of that third hole like the extra hole you have in the states besided the 2 lines.

  2. you don't require specific adapter for italy,we have 220 volt.

  3. This one should be fine, looks exactly like mine.

    Check with yours!

    Hope this helps!

Ps. If it is really similar but has three thinghy things (dunno the word!) instead than 2... it's fine too.

  4. Hi!

I have been in Italy a lot.  The  2 round prong adaptor has always worked for me.  The same that works in all Europe

except England and Ireland, they use a 3 prong there.

Some times in the mid range $ hotels a 110-120 volt plug is in the bathroom above mirror lite.

Some hotel even have a loaner for you!
