Is it possible to have a degree in both simultaneously or otherwise?

  1. Actually Electrical and Mechanical Engineering are "brothers" ..

    Mechanical engineering students study many subjects from the electrical eng section. Proffessors from electrical department teach mechanical eng students..And vice versa.

    You should "master" one of them, if you want to be "superior engineer" , but gathering information from another department will undoubtly help you in your work.

Yes, I have a dual degree from Kettering University in Flint Michigan.  Some schools have very good programs to do both.  Instead of being and ME specializing in structures you are an ME specializing in EE.  I did it in 4 years but it usually takes 5.  Once out of school I have pretty much forgotten all ME and focused on EE but it is nice to have.

  3. you would better search for hybrid specialisations that combine both ones,such as mechatronics and autotronics and computronics.
