Electrical apprenticeship?

I was wondering what the best way to begin looking for an apprenticeship would be? This fall I am enrolled in the course electrical techniques, but i would also like to start looking for companies, what should I do? look in the phone book for company names?

Contact your local trades union if you have one.  Looking in the phone book and on the Internet are good places to start.  You might want to talk to your course instructors about your interests too.
