Question:

Electrical car wiring?

Yesterday I went to start my car and it wouldn't start and seemed like a dead battery. I didn't expect to need a battery since I replaced it in January. I brought a guy out from AAA and he just touched this area under the hood for electrical wiring and the car started. He said this is a weird case for the car not starting and said I may have faulty wiring. Today the car has started everytime. Does it sound like wiring is my problem and can I fix it myself or do I need a mechanic?

  1. Mine's doing that because I'm too lazy to properly tighten the negative cable to the battery (the black one)

  2. It could be a bad ground wire to the battery and/or the starter.  Check all of your ground connections to the engine, body, and battery.  If any are overly corroded or broken, replace of have replaced.
