Electrical engineering: 1600 + amp disconnect?

is there a 1600 amp disconnect? or do you use a switch once it gets that high? we need a 1600 - 2000 amp disconnect. if there is please let me know

  1. The only way you are going to find something like that is in heavy industrial equipment.  I think these things are typically special order with a long lead time.  

    You may want to split your cable and start running lower amperage disconnects in parallel.  You see this done in a lot of environments where there are heavy current conduits and they don't want all those things going into one disconnect.
