Electrical problems with my 86 xt 350?

ok so i was riding the other day and my headlight went out(i just replaced it 3 weeks ago) then my blinker didnt work or my brake lights. it looked like my head light burnt out cause it got really bright then died out. what would cause this. where can i find a wiring diagram for this bike. or what should i do? any help is much appreciated. thanks in advance

It sounds like you regulator is failing. This can be caused by loose or dirty (corroded) electrical connections between the alternator and regulator. Check them out carefully, and make sure they are tight and clean. Also make sure the regulator is grounded properly. Make sure the battery connections are clean and tight. Failing that, you might need a new regulator.
