Will an electrican fix my plasma tv to my living room wall and channel out the wall to hide the power and speaker leads? I broke my leg last week and the tv was delivered yesterday!

  1. your best bet is to contact Best Buy or Circuit City or maybe a local retailer that does installation.  I would think an electrician is more for wiring things not installing plus  they will charge more if they do agree to do an install.  Installation through best buy or circuit city is about $200.00.  As far as hiding the wires you would have to check I'm not sure if that is included in the install or not.

  2. I'm an electrician who specializes in Home Theater installations. I personally would not trust Fire Dog (Circuit City) or Best Buy to install the plasma cleanly (fishing the wires in the wall), especially if you don't already have electric at the height you want to mount the TV. I have seen too many jobs where a customer buys their TV and Circuit City comes in and does a hack job of installing it.  Your best bet is to find a local custom A/V installer. If you don't already have the TV bracket you can expect to pay about $150 on top of the $250 for the install depending on where you want to place your video sources (DVD player, cable box, satellite receiver).

    Good Luck
