  1. Pay him $1 per month is good enough.

A normal home use computer system runs about 100 watts to 200 watts at full load (non-stop download movie at high speed,19 inches screen, sound blaster, high power video card ). Lazer printer spends more power like 300 to 500 watts.

I take the highest 200 watts for your system to calulate:

    200 Watts * 0.25 hour per day * 31 days = 1550 watts/hour per month.

The most expensive electricity cost about 50 cent per 1000 watts/hour.

For a whole month,if you really use 15 minutes per day,you only spend not more than 2kw/h . Therefore, you only need to pay $1.

  2. An average PC, monitor and printer will use about 1500watts of power. Lets say that you use it for 10h a week. That's about 15kWH a week or just round off to 60kWH per month. I don't know what the cost per kWH is where you live but say it is 20 cents. That would be about 15 dollars a month.

  3. 1,500 Watts seems high.
