I will be travelling through the Philippines next year. My phone and camera chargers are made for 220. Can I use them? If not, what's the solution?

  1. 220

  2. Yes, you can use 220 voltage. Because that's the standard here in the Philippines.

Hope you will enjoy your stay here in the Philippines.  GOD BLESS YOUR TRIP!

  3. 240/50

You will be fine for short term.  115V is available and works for 110.

  4. 220 so u won't have a problem.

  5. 220 is fine. Make sure that you have the flat plugs. If you forget to bring one, it's easy to buy from a nearby hardware. It's cheap anyway.

  6. Its 220V but most modern devices allow plug into either one with automatic adjustment within the device.  I've used both camera and phones on both plugs, 110V and 220V and they are both working fine.

  7. Dude, you have to worry about the Hz as well as the volts.

Th Philippines has 220V and 60Hz, meaning it is neither the same as the US nor Europe. (actually the electricity fluctuates from like 207 - 229V and 58.5 - 61Hz, the fluctuation in the Hz will make a digital clock run either faster or slower).

Having said that, most Phone/Camera/Computer chargers have a transformer built into them and are rated for 100 - 240 V, and 50-60Hz.  Just look on the charger, and somewhere should be a sticker where "input" is labeled.

Britart, the Hz is 60, which would account for your clock running 20% faster if the clock is set up for 50Hz.

  8. Only Sanmigsean has the right answer, Those who answered 50Hz go to Europe.

    P. I.  is no longer used, Use instead RP ( Republic of the Philippines )

The Philippines (Filipino: Pilipinas, officially known as the Republic of the Philippines (Republika ng Pilipinas; RP),

  9. 220v

  10. The voltage is 220 but the hz is 50 I think, it made my electric clock gain a half hour every 2 hours
