Electrolux EWF1470 washing machine has broken down?

My machine was working perfectly last night but this morning when i turned it on all the settings were frozen and when i try to change them it beeps and "Er-" comes up on the screen. It also beeps and "Er-" appears when i press the start button. I'm desperate!

The Er code or Error is a non descriptive code which could indicate almost anything. Unfortunately, you will need a serviceman to have a look at it. You could try shutting off the breaker to the unit and resetting it but if you get the same result, a repairman will have to take care of it for you. Its a pretty new unit and there may still be a warranty on the solid state components like the circuit board. There should be a 2 year warranty on the machine. Check with the company you bought it from or with the company who made it.

Unplug it then plug it back in after about ten minutes. Should be a reset button, if not unplug it.
