Electromagnetic radiations: why and how?

how are electromagnetic radiation produced?? how do they travel in vacuum?? and what are the oscillating particles that cause the electric and magnetic waves (since light is only pure energy)?

  1. Electrically charged bodies are surrounded by electric fields, and electric currents and magnets are caused by magnetic fields.  If you move such an object, or change the current, the surrounding fields most also change.  But the change doesn't occur everywhere at once, but ripples outward from the point of the original disturbance.  These moving ripples in the electric and magnetic fields are what we call electromagnetic waves.

    (By the way, there is no such thing as "pure energy".  Energy is always associated with particles or systems, and even if the particle happens to have zero mass, it still has other attributes than energy.)


  2. i think its from the sun & is a by product of the sun turning energy into mass & mass back into energy.
