Half the girls in my sixth grade class got one of these for Christmas of 1994. Let me see if I can describe it. I *think* it was made by Casio. It was about 6 inches wide by four inches deep. It was pastel colors: lavender, pink and pastel green if I remember right. You flipped it open and there was a screen and a qwerty keyboard. It was like a tiny little laptop, kind of, or like a bigger version of a modern Sidekick. If two of them were within close range they could "text message" each other. The thing also had these functions that I remember: calendar, horoscopes, phone book, and a little face-maker, which let you make "portraits" of people for their phone book entry.

I KNOW someone here in the 22-27 age group had to have owned one of these back in the day, the d**n thing was ubiquitous! Does anyone remember what it was called?

  3. It's called "Dear Diary". I had the purple one. =)

They had several versions, you must have had one of the later ones if yours messages other ones.
