Electronics devices without hdtv?

Question

I don't have an hdtv and do not plan on buying one or the convertor box yet. I was wondering if it's still possible to play playstation 3 games or xbox 360 games over my old analog tv without out them or not?

Yeah. The digital TV transition only refers to how over-the-air television is delivered.

Indeed, both the PS3 and Xbox 360 also have composite video outputs (or S-video output if you purchase an additional cable).
