Electronics? huge price difference

Question

i was at an 8ave computer store and they sold this logitech keyboard for $130 and when i checked it at circuit city, it was $209! how come the price difference is so huge

Circuit city is a well know established chain across America.  they know people will buy from them because you can return items very easily and most stores will take other stores' damaged merchandise (since they are a cooperation) ... think about it, would you buy a $2000 top of the line custom computer from Best Buy(20+ years in business) or Paul's Computer Store (4 months in business) to save $100???

Go with what you know... plus they have a large selection, most Americans know what they want and they want it now!!!  So, they are willing to pay a bit more for merchandise if they find it the first place they look (which is usually large national department stores)

I know I'm babbling, but think of a $1.09 can of Campbell's condensed chicken noodle soup at Wal-mart and the same exact can of soup at 7-11 for $2.25!!!  Sometimes it's all about convince!!!

Because some stores must make more profit so their markup is more.  I used to see similar.  My store sold printer cables for $10 and large chain stores sold same thing for outrageous $29.95.  Why because they could and many would not believe me that the cables were same or better (all mine were 25 conductor same as iee-1284 spec, big store sold 18 conductor type).  So definitely look out.  Same for keyboards radio shack for one of theirs wanted $165 and I sold a customer a keyboard and an adaptor to go to the radio shack computer for a total of $65.  SO a savings of $100 plus the taxes.  I made a profit so think what the radio shack company was making as they bought for less than I could ever buy for.  Nope big chain stores have these huge profit margins to pay for the big ads and the large overheads where the little guys are more realistic.

they all sell the same thing with a different model number(so they can claim to be the lowest price). instead of buying computer products at local stores buy them on-line there cheaper and of the newest tech.
