Question:

Elementary/Special Education and a Sociology minor?? Good idea or not?

Hi all,

I'm working on getting a dual degree in ELED/SPED right now and it turns out I have room in my schedule to take a few extra classes. Do you think that a minor in Sociology will be a good idea? Will that make me any more marketable in the future?

Thank you very much and any suggestions are appreciated.

  1. sure----

  2. The ELED/SPED degree makes you very marketable already.  Every school district seems to be looking for people who are trained and willing to work in the special ed area, especially as the government is pushing for the centralization of these students into regular classrooms.

  3. thats what i got my degree in with that same minor.  It dodn't help with with getting my job but it helpes me understand some things a lot more.  Extra classes never hurt if you have the time.
