Elementary school teacher or Occupational Therapist...which makes a better career?

A school teacher certainly needs more qualities, sacrifice and calibre than a therapist. You could also get to visit other countries in exchange-programmes or a ministerial study-tour. You may one day attain the coveted post of a principal or higher in the Ministry. You will get  a lot of satisfaction by turning thousands of young lives around, and some of them would remember you, decades later. So a teaching career though more challenging, is a more satisfying one.

Whichever you enjoy the most will be the most rewarding for you.  A therapist will prolly make more money but teaching can be a very rewarding proffesion.

I think being a teacher you work with lots of children whereas being an OT you tend to work with an individual child

It truely just depends on what you are looking for in a career.

A classroom teacher will have a class all day while an OT will pull a few students from each class and run a small group. OT's have just as much work as a classroom teacher.
