Elena, a young professional tennis player from Russia, has won 2 gold medals for her country in the world's most prestigious sports event, Olympics. Her capacity and capability has never been questioned and she has always shown her best to the world.

It is a good sign for the tennis lovers that she will be playing in the U.S Grand Slam being held in New York next month. Elena is one of the strongest contenders for the Grand Slam trophy.
On one hand, the return of this female tennis ace is a sign of happiness for her fans but on the other hand her appearance on the tennis court might cause a bit of worry to all the other super star players of the world because they are very well aware of Elena's incomparable hold over her racquet. Recently Elena shown her outstanding class by beating the Roland Garros Champion, Francesca Schiavone 3-6 6-3 6-4 in straight sets. On the other hand tennis veteran Samantha Stosur, currently top seed for the tournament thrashed the American emerging player Christina McHale 6-1 7-5. Now Stosur will be facing Wickmayer on Friday in the Quarter finals of the tournament. On the other hand Dementieva will be facing the winner of the match between the former world number one Maria Sharapova and Olga Govortsova. Agnieszka Radwanska and Yanina Wickmayer won their matches as well.
Dementieva missed the Wimbledon Grand Slam and it was the first Grand Slam she has missed in 10 years of her professional tennis career. Nonetheless, now she is back and back in a victorious form which is a vivid sign of her eagerness to compete and conquer at the highest levels. After her strong comeback she expressed her views to the media and told that it was a very good experience as she is now confident after a memorable victory. She added that it is very difficult to judge our game without playing it in a professional competition because competitions help us to think where we lack the focus and she is happy for such a wonderful return to the tennis court.
So the fans now should keep their eyes focused towards the next big thing, the U.S Grand slam, because it is going to be much tougher and exciting as the tennis Queen Elena Dementieva is back. She is back and thirsty to win and nobody is going to stop her now.
