Question:

Elephant p**p Paper? (not kidding, people!)?

I was at a store and I saw an awesome little notebook. It looked pretty, so I bought it. The sales lady informed me that it was made of recycled, sterilized, elephant p**p (!!) and gave me the pamphlet that went with it. I have to say, I was doubtful at first, but now I think it may not be such a bad idea. Its a renewable source of paper, and all the money raised goes toward stopping the pointless killing of elephants in Sri Lanka.

Heres the website:

what do you think?

p.s no, the paper does not smell, and is 100% clean!

  1. it sounds alittle dodgy but you could make paper out of Elephant p**p the real question is why would you, it is already used for fertiliser and all that processing carnt be good for the environment.

  2. I've seen them in a few shops in Colombo, one being "Paradise Road" near Kolpetty, Colombo 3. It's become a trend and is fast catching up!

I've even bought one book and the paper does appear a bit rough, but you could never tell it's elephant dung.

  3. It's cute paper - I've seen it used in a lot of different ways.

    Very cool.

  4. Great idea sounds good for the poor elephants. If this is economical and good for environment then its should be used more often.

  5. I think that it's a good idea because it's humourous, yet sustainable. I also think that it is a great idea to donate to that cause!
